The Avocado Zutano (B) is a cold-hardy variety that stands out for its smooth, thin, glossy green skin, which remains green even when fully ripe. This medium to large avocado has a pear-shaped body and is known for its pale yellow, creamy flesh with a mild, light flavour, less rich than varieties like Hass but still excellent for salads, sandwiches, and fresh eating.

The Zutano avocado tree is a vigorous and fast grower, reaching heights of up to 5-7 metres if left unpruned, though it can be trimmed to a more manageable size for home gardens. It is one of the more cold-tolerant avocado varieties, making it a good choice for regions with cooler climates.
