As a climbing vine, kiwifruit plants require a structure to attach itself to, and to support the weight of the fruit.

Kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) is oval, about the size of a large chicken egg. It has a thin, fuzzy, edible, light brown skin and green flesh with rows of tiny, black, edible seeds. The fruit has a soft texture with a sweet and unique flavour.
