Heliconia ‘Splash’ (champneiana) has tropical green foliage and produces massive golden bracts heavily splashed with red. The stems show distinctive camouflage-like markings. Forming upright ‘V’-shaped clumps, it typically reaches 3–4 m tall and flowers through summer and autumn. Best grown in tropical to subtropical climates in full sun to part shade, it prefers moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
