The fruit of the Haew Longan is small to medium-sized, generally around 2 to 3 centimetres in diameter. It has a thin, smooth, light brown skin that is easily peeled. Inside, the fruit reveals a translucent, succulent flesh that is exceptionally sweet, juicy, and slightly aromatic. The flesh surrounds a single, shiny, dark brown seed. The Haew variety is particularly noted for its superior sweetness and fine texture, making it a favourite among longan connoisseurs.
