Yellow Mangosteen is a tropical evergreen tree known for its small, yellow-orange fruits. Unlike the more popular Purple Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), Yellow Mangosteen has a distinct tart flavor. It is native to parts of Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Garcinia tinctoria and Garcinia xanthochymus are synonymous, referring to the same plant.
